Hello my beautiful people!
I am just getting back into the swing of my routine. After 3 weeks off! It was supposed to be 2 weeks but life happens and we all experienced sickness and extreme jet lag after we got back home and forced me (not really forced) to take an additional week off.
But taking the time to unplug, disconnect, and be away from the "norm" was absolutely needed and amazing. Oh, where did I go?!?!
ALASKA for 10 amazing days.
We flew to Anchorage, rented a car, drove to 3 towns, stayed in 4 different places, was on top of 3 glaciers, hiked 4 mountains, saw countless wildlife, 2 helicopters rides, kayaking on a glacier, and so much more. It was truly a vacation of a lifetime! No pictures or videos I took will ever do justice to what my eyes have seen, my ears has heard, and my spirit has experienced.
And now back to reality and so much is happening in my personal and professional life- but I remain incredibly grateful for it all! I am aware that not everyone can take so much time off or take a bucket list trip, but you can always take a day to disconnect and rediscover you. In order to be happy and not go into a path of possible burn-out.
💥Taking time off is absolutely crucial for your health and well-being!
Here’s my top 3 reasons why you need to take time off:
🌟1. Its a chance to give your mind and body a break! By resting and recharging, we significantly lower the risk of burnout and those pesky stress-related illnesses… In my case, lowering my chances of possible #crohnsflareups
⭐️2. It’s a perfect opportunity to engage in activities that boosts your physical and mental wellbeing. These activities are like magic potions for our overall health and mood. It’s a perfect time to reconnect and engage with your loved ones too and activities!
🌟3. Taking time off is a great way to unplug from the “ not so reality” of social media. It gives you an opportunity to get a sense of renewed energy and inspiration that can enhance your productivity when you return. Nothing like disconnecting in Alaska!!! 🥰
Taking time off, whether that’s a full day or 10 days- it helps us achieve that ever-elusive work life balance that will lead to a better quality of life!
So go ahead and prioritize self care and give yourself a gift of some time off. You deserve it!
